BENJAMIN R. CASE, President of Case Consulting Services, Inc. helps nonprofits raise more money by advising on strategic planning, fundraising, and communications. Mr. Case has served in the nonprofit sector for 40 years as an advancement professional, senior manager and leader. He formed Case Consulting Services, Inc. in 2001. His experience includes work with world-class institutions such as Duke University and the Metropolitan Opera, as well as being involved in the start-up of more than ten successful nonprofits. He has worked for and been engaged by organizations that have raised over $4.3 billion and has been personally involved in the successful solicitation of over $1.1 billion dollars in gifts. He has done extensive presentations and trainings for non-profits, including writing and presenting a two-day conference on major gifts: ThinkBIG. Mr. Case is known for providing the “Tip ‘o The Morning…” to readers around the world. He has served on the Boards of Catawba College, Medical Ministry International and the Charitable Trust Leadership Forum. He has been a featured speaker for many associations including Council for Advancement and Support of Education, Association of Fundraising Professionals, and State Policy Network. He and his wife Angela live in Great Falls, Virginia. They have been married 37 years and have two grown children and two granddaughters.
MARSHA M. RAY, Senior Consultant with Case Consulting Services, Inc. brings more than twenty-five years of experience in nonprofit administration and fundraising. She has helped institutions raise more than $800 million. She has served as the chief advancement officer on the president’s senior team at Dickinson College and at Community College of Philadelphia, where she has helped create the vision and strategy to advance the institutions. She has also served at George Mason University, planning and leading their $300 million comprehensive campaign. Ms. Ray has also held fundraising and management positions at the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, and Wyck Historic House Museum. Her broad experiences provide her with insight to the complex decisions facing non-profits and the ability to quickly identify an institution’s strengths and opportunities. She has a unique breadth of experience that extends from working with large, complex institutions with sophisticated fundraising programs to organizations that are new to fundraising.
